Region 9 uses the IMPLAN (IMpact analysis for PLANning) economic modeling that can measure the economic impact of many community projects. IMPLAN provides region-specific data so businesses can answer questions about the proposed projects such as how many jobs will be created or what is the economic impact to the community.
Some scenarios that can be examined with IMPLAN® include:
- What effects would a new industry/technology in my study area generate?
- How many jobs will this project create, directly and indirectly?
