Enterprise Zone - Business Tax Credits

Businesses (which include farms and ranches) may be eligible for a variety of tax credits including capital investments, job training, and research and development, and other credits based on the business location. The Enterprise Zone Income Tax Credit Guide from the Colorado Department of Revenue provides more details on the available incentives.

Parts of La Plata County are designated as Enterprise Zone.  Most of Archuleta, all of Dolores, Montezuma, and San Juan Counties are Enhanced Enterprise Zones, which provides businesses with additional incentives.
Check the map on the State’s EZ webpage to see if your business is located in an Enterprise Zone.

Pre-certify Annually

Pre-certification and Certification require approval by the Southwest Enterprise Zone Administrator and needs to be filed electronically. Pre-certify or certify by clicking here. Submitting information for pre-certification does not obligate the business to actually earn or use the credit(s).
