Region 9 uses the IMPLAN (IMpact analysis for PLANning) economic modeling that can measure the economic impact of many community projects. IMPLAN provides region-specific data so businesses can answer questions about the proposed projects such as how many jobs will be created or what is the economic impact to the community.
Some scenarios that can be examined with IMPLAN® include:
What effects would a new industry/technology in my study area generate?
How many jobs will this project create, directly and indirectly?
The first step is to schedule a one hour scoping meeting to assess the viability of your project for IMPLAN and to receive an estimate of costs and the time involved. For more information, please contact Donna Graves at 970-385-4897.
Region 9 may cover some of the cost for community sponsored projects.
